SUN HYDRAULICS Founded | | In 1970, Robert E. Koski and John Allen co-founded Sun Hydraulics Corporation, Sarasota, Florida, to develop and manufacture screw-in hydraulic cartridge valves and manifolds for industrial and mobile markets. In January 1997, 2,300,000 shares of common stock were sold in an initial public offering. The Company has paid a dividend every quarter since going public. |
| | Products | Sun Hydraulics is a leading designer and manufacturer of high performance screw-in hydraulic cartridge valves and manifolds which control force, speed and motion as integral components in fluid power systems. Everything we do at Sun, from design to manufacturing, is done with one objective in mind: to provide distinctive designs and reliable solutions. Our hydraulic valve and packaged manifold systems work accurately and reliably, no matter how demanding the application.
Cartridge products are available in up to 5 sizes (capacities), are capable of handling flows up to 400 gallons per minute, and operate at pressures up to 5,000 pounds per square inch. |
| | Product Differentiation | Sun Hydraulics' screw-in hydraulic cartridge valves feature a unique, two piece, floating construction. This design allows working parts in the cartridge to freely move in relation to the fixed position of the cartridge in its cavity, thus producing a high level of performance and a high degree of reliability. Sun Hydraulics manufactures one of the most comprehensive ranges of standard screw-in hydraulic cartridge valves and manifolds in the world, and also develops and manufactures custom manifolds.

Schroeder Industries is a leader in fluid conditioning technology. With 60 years of filtration experience, Schroeder designs, manufactures and markets innovative filtration solutions for hydraulic, lubrication and process systems.
Schroeder was one of the first to identify the need for fine micronic filtration in hydraulic systems and was a pioneer in the development of many filtration concepts and products. Before the idea of fine micronic filtration was even mentioned in many engineering textbooks, Schroeder had set performance standards for this kind of contamination control in many markets such as mining, mobile equipment, and automotive manufacturing. In fact, the HF4 automotive standard was written with the Schroeder K-Size element in mind.
For more than half a century, Schroeder Industries' innovative efforts to develop value-engineered products have been recognized with 33 patent awards. Nine of those have been issued in the past 4 years, indicating that Schroeder remains at the forefront in the fields of fluid conditioning, diagnostics, and specialized energy products.
Schroeder Industries' corporate headquarters are located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with manufacturing facilities in the Pittsburgh location as well as Cumberland, Maryland. In 2005, Schroeder earned their ISO:9001 certification. In addition, Schroeder Industries has been recognized as a Top Owned Business by DiversityBusiness.com

CV Expansion Plugs, also known as expander or sealing plugs, are commonly used to seal cross-drilled holes in manifolds and castings. They have considerable advantages over competing sealing systems. These plugs are 100% effective and can withstand pressures of up to 40,000 psi. They are available in a full range of metals as well as English and metric sizes. Hand and air hammer installation tools are also available.
Flow Restrictors, also known as precision orifices, are an extremely reliable and consistent way to precisely meter liquids and gases. A range of orifices from 0.02 to 0.2 inches are available in both metric and English sized holes. These restrictors are one piece assemblies and easily installed. Both expansion and threaded restrictors are available in stainless steel and other metals. |
